Samsung Galaxy S20 Official Android 12 One UI 4.0 update rolling out in these regions, countries

Starting December 28, Samsung has begun the stable Android 12 update rollout for the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and Galaxy S20 Ultra devices. Initially, the One UI 4.0 update has been pushed for a few European countries as the company ensures stability of every new firmware before rolling out it widely.

Along with the features of the Android 12 operating system, Samsung introduced the Color Palette AKA Dynamic Themes, allowing users to choose the entire UI’s elements color based on chosen home screen wallpaper as well as advanced privacy functions.

Samsung One UI 4.0 Features

 

Dynamic wallpapers: The One UI 4.0 also adapted Google Android 12’s Dynamic wallpapers, commonly known as Material You theming engine. In addition to the capability to select from featured and downloaded wallpapers, you can now choose different color themes based on colors from your wallpaper.

Widgets: One UI 4.0 introduces redesigned Home screen widgets for the Galaxy devices. It gives you more information at a glance and lets you personalize and decorate your home screen in your way, thanks to the new structure of the widget list.

Quick Panel: With the One UI 4.0, consumers can manage brightness more comfortably with the larger brightness bar in the quick panel. In addition, the name of the “Media” button has been changed to “Media Output”.

Android 12L/One UI 4.1.1 starts releasing for Galaxy Z Fold 3 – US [Carrier-locked]

To install the update, visit the Settings of your phone followed by a Software update and Download and install options. Finally, hit on Download button >> Install now/Schedule install >> Restart.

[Sep. 15] Update – India

10 days after the initial rollout, Samsung has expanded the Android 12L-based One UI 4.1.1 update for the Galaxy Z Fold 3 foldable smartphones in India. It comes with the August 2022 security patch and brings additional new features ahead of the major Android 13-based One UI 5.0 upgrade.

One UI 4.1.1 Features

As announced, the South Korean tech giant is bringing the Android 12L Taskbar to the Galaxy Z Fold 3, which takes the multitasking experience to a whole new level. Taskbar is a new feature that lets Galaxy fans switch between apps seamlessly as it provides you with a PC-like experience.

Aside from this, the One UI 4.1.1 brings Galaxy Z Fold 4’s Apps pair feature, which allows you to create a pair of apps opened in multi-window and save it to the Taskbar UI. Once done, you can reopen the same multitasking window with apps with just a single tap.

Camera Feature

One UI 4.1.1 activates Dual Preview so you and your subject can see the shot at the same time before it’s captured by displaying the image both on the Main and Cover Screen. Now, you can take high-resolution selfies with the main camera using Rear Cam Selfie with full control of the camera right on the Cover Screen.
