Verizon releases January 2022 security update to Samsung Galaxy Note 20 in the US

Verizon started releasing a new update with January 2022 security patch for Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra users in the US. The update brings multiple bug fixes and CVEs/SVEs from Google and Samsung.

It improves system security by installing the latest patch for a better user experience. The update has already been released for European variants of the Galaxy Note 20 series.

January 2022 security update comes with the firmware versions N981USQS2EULH and N986USQS2EULH for Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra users respectively.

How to update:

  • Open your device Settings.
  • Then, click on the System updates.
  • Tap on the Download and install button.
  • After installing, reboot your device and it’s done.

Before you update:

  • Make sure to connect your device to a Wi-Fi network or it has a strong Verizon wireless network connection.
  • Your device battery must be fully charged before starting the software update.
