Android 13’s keyguard profile switcher to let you switch user profile directly from lockscreen

Google’s Android 12 is still fresh but here we are already talking about its successor – Android 13. Over the past few days, we’ve learned about a bunch of work-in-progress Android 13 features. Meanwhile, one piece of new information speaks about another.

According to trusted media named Android Police, the upcoming Android 13 will allow users to switch profiles from the keyguard (PIN/pattern entry page). They also claim that Google will introduce a new toggle that will let users disable the home button Assistant shortcut.

Keyguard user profile switcher:

Android 13 may come with a new keyguard profile switcher that will allow users to switch to a different user profile before unlocking it. The screenshot mentioned below shows that the new profile switcher will appear on the PIN/password entry page and let users switch a different profile from a drop-down menu.

Home button Assistant toggle:

In addition to the above-mentioned feature, the report also unveils a home button assistant toggle. The new option is capable to enable or disable the home button gesture to trigger the Google Assistant. Users could find the new settings in the System navigation settings.

More Panlingual bits:

Besides the two new features, the said media has also shared the screenshots of the upcoming Panlingual feature. This feature will appear as a new App Languages option under the Languages & input settings. When opened, a list of installed apps will appear and users will be able to configure the language settings for each app from the list.
