Bespoke washing machines and dryers feature AI-optimized washing and drying, which wash and dry clothes based on artificial intelligence (AI) based on the amount and degree of pollution. In addition, it recommends courses according to consumer usage patterns.

The AI technology allows customized storage by setting the temperature in various modes in a wide temperature range from -23 to 4 ° C. Furthermore,  the micro constant temperature technology minimizes the temperature difference between the refrigerator and freezer compartments to ± 0.5 ° C.

3 winning teams will be selected each day across the 2 days, bringing it to a total of 6 winning teams. The winners get to bring home Samsung products worth up to RM39,188 each day. The hackathon is one of the many activities during Samsung’s Galaxy Space, a Gen Z-inspired experiential event that is open to the public.

The hackathon is organized in collaboration with Taylor’s University and Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR).

This comes on the back of Samsung’s recent event, ‘Reimagining Foldables for Malaysians’, where the company collaborated with top local organizations to showcase the optimization of local apps that Malaysians use on a daily basis, bringing it closer to their hearts.

“At Samsung, we are passionate about bringing relevant mobile innovation to consumers, so it made sense for us to get Gen Z involved in creating new ideas and experiences for the Galaxy Z that are relatable to them. This is also in line with our ESG mission to empower young Malaysian talent to make waves in the tech space. We look forward to inspiring ideas with potential to bring them to market,” said KM Liew, Vice President & Head of Mobile eXperience, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

Through this alliance, Samsung can quickly settle into the emerging OLED TV market, and LG Display is expected to secure the number one spot in the TV industry as a new customer and improve its performance early, BusinessKorea reports.

For starters, compatibility registration is a procedure required to manufacture, sell, and import broadcasting and communication equipment such as TVs. It is common for a product to be launched within three months of registration.

LG Display is the only manufacturer, which can produce such giant OLED panels at present. This is why Samsung’s first 83-inch OLED TV release attracted attention in the industry.

Samsung Electronics stated, “We cannot confirm matters related to component procurement and supply lines.”

It has already been reported that some of the initial quantities have been supplied. New products may be launched as early as September. Samsung can dramatically increase its OLED TV sales volume through cooperation with LG Display.
