On November 23, Samsung kicked off the December 2021 security patch update rollout. Along with the One UI 4 Beta 3, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 users have received the latest Android patches in several countries including South Korea, India and Germany.

Gradually, the Korean tech giant will now release the December 2021 security patch update to more eligible Galaxy devices in the coming days and weeks. Most possibly, the Galaxy S21 series will be the next to gain December 2021 security patch, which will be the first OTA after upgrading the stable Android 12 and One UI 4.0 on Nov 15.

Currently, it’s not confirmed that what CVEs and SVEs have been fixed in the December 2021 patch as Samsung usually discloses the details in the first week of each month. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition users are getting a fresh update with the December 2024 security patch in Korea. This update installs the latest Android security patch to improve system security and stability.

December 2024 security patch fixes over 45 vulnerabilities, including 6 critical and 28 high-level issues. It also resolves one issue previously addressed and another not relevant to Samsung devices.

In addition, Samsung has patched 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products and provided 8 SVE patches covering the Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode to make the device more secure.

Samsung rolls out the December 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition via One UI build version F958NKSS2AXKC. Users will have to download around 400MB package to install the update.
