Samsung develops most advanced PCIe 5.0 SSD for enterprise servers
On December 23, Samsung Electronics, a world leader in advanced memory technology, announced the development of the PM1743 SSD for enterprise servers that integrate the PCIe (Peripheral Component Interconnect Express) 5.0 interface with Samsung’s advanced sixth-generation V-NAND.
PCIe 5.0 offers a bandwidth of 32 gigatransfers per second (GT/s), more than double that of PCIe 4.0. Utilizing a proprietary controller designed to support the latest PCIe standards, PM1743 provides an excellent read and write speeds to meet the rapidly increasing performance requirements of data centers.

Samsung’s PM1743 has a sequential read speed of 13,000 megabytes per second (MB/s) and a random read speed of 2,500K input/output operations per second (IOPS), 1.9x and 1.7x faster than the previous PCIe. Provides speed. 4.0-based product.
Additionally, with sequential write speeds of 6,600MB/s and random write speeds of 250K IOPS, there is a significant increase in write speed, offering speeds of 1.7x and 1.9x, respectively.
Available in a variety of capacities ranging from 1.92 terabytes (TB) to 15.36 TB, the PM1743 is offered in 3-inch EDSFF (E3.s) along with the traditional 2.5-inch form factor the increasingly popular SSD form designed specifically for next-generation enterprise servers and data centers item.
Additionally, PM1743 is rated as the industry’s first PCIe 5.0 SSD with dual-port support, which guarantees server operational stability and high availability in the event of a port failure.
Recently, the importance of data security in the enterprise server market has been further strengthened. To meet these requirements, Samsung’s PM1743 implements advanced security features that are traditionally only available at the server level.
Samsung is now distributing models of the PM1743 to global chipset and server manufacturers for joint system development. The company plans to launch mass production of PM1743 in the first quarter of 2022, thanks to the new PCIe 5.0 standard. PM1743 won the CES 2022 Innovation Awards in the category of Computer Hardware and Components.

According to the changelog, the new firmware for Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, Galaxy A35, and Galaxy A34 smartphones in Europe updates the Regional 4G TDD band support to deliver better network performance across various European countries.
It is important to note that Galaxy models purchased in Germany cannot receive signals in LTE TDD bands in several countries, including Belgium, Denmark, France, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, and the Czech Republic.
Moreover, the update also improves the security and stability of the device. It also fixes some issues for error-free services.

Samsung has pushed a new update for its Intelligence Voice Services app to version 1.1.12.38, which focuses on enhancing the overall performance and stability of the app. This latest update improves the app’s functionality and resolves existing issues for a more reliable experience.
The fresh update for the Samsung Intelligence Voice Services app does not include new features or changes but enhances the app’s capabilities. It fixes issues that users were facing in the previous version.

After Snapdragon models, Samsung has released an April 2024 security update for Exynos models of the Galaxy S21 FE smartphone in India. Users can identify the latest update through One UI build version G990EXXS8FXD1.
The fresh update improves system security and stability to enhance the overall performance. It protects against security threats by incorporating the latest security patches for Android. Also, it improves some functions to provide a better user experience.
Users of the Exynos Galaxy S21 FE smartphone in India will have to download a 248.39MB package to install the April 2024 security update. The update is based on One UI 6.0 and the company will soon release One UI 6.1 update for this smartphone.
To install the update, users should navigate to the Software Update section found within the device’s Settings. They can select ‘Download and install’ from there to initiate the update process.
