Samsung is the world’s most famous smartphone maker and is well known in almost all parts of the world because of its futuristic innovations. Almost every year, the company takes bold decisions to further extend its reach and continue to rule the world with the highest smartphone shipments.

Undoubtedly, mobile phones with foldable screens are becoming famous among consumers nowadays, thanks to their tablet-like big display offering even in regular phone size. This ambition forced Samsung to skip the launch of its mainstream flagship smartphone lineup this year, while looks like it won’t come back ever!

R.I.P. Galaxy Note!

It’s almost confirmed, the Galaxy Note line has no future as Samsung shifted the Galaxy Z line to its mainstream. This year, the company introduced S Pen support for the Galaxy S22 Ultra, which happened for the first time for Galaxy S range. This move potentially started the conclusion of Galaxy Notes.

After a lot of rumors, a recent Korean media report emerged with authentic information that Samsung ditched the Galaxy Note line production and discontinued producing any Note phone. It means, the Galaxy Note 20 is the world’s last Note lineup, while its iconic S Pen will remain alive!

Really, your Galaxy Note coming back

While the S21 Ultra features S Pen support, but as an additional accessory, Samsung likely bring a dedicated S Pen storage chamber in its upcoming Galaxy S22 Ultra phone. If the past rumors are true, it will be the biggest change in the South Korean tech giant’s mobile phone history.

When it comes to naming, the Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra will be the company’s last Note phones. Just, the top model of Note line will be reborn as a Galaxy S phone along with full-fledged S Pen support such as slot inside the body and Air Actions.

  • Update: On December 9th, well-known Samsung tipster FrontTron revealed that the Galaxy S22 Ultra won’t come and the company will market the top variant of the upcoming S series as Galaxy S22 Note. [Source]

Samsung’s this major change in the smartphone designing strategy should help it further grow to reach consumers and push to its ambition of putting the foldables into mainstream. Well, Samsung introduced the under-display camera tech with the Galaxy Z Fold 3, but it’s immature as of now and won’t debut with next main flagship line.

Loyal Galaxy Note fans seem not happy with Samsung’s decision of entirely killing the lineup, but the company’s decision of expanding the S Pen support to more Galaxies might fill the gap of ditching a major phone series.
