Tecno makes fun of Samsung and Apple with its Phantom X promo

Promotion is the best and traditional way of increasing sales of products, however, makers are nowadays teasing competitors with promo materials. We saw Samsung teasing Apple and Apple teasing Samsung, but this time, Tecno comes up to the light and jumped the gun on two smartphone industry giants.

Tecno, which is popular in growing smartphone markets such as India, released a promo poster asking users to “try something new” and not to “repeat the samesong”. The “samesong” is obviously a dig at Samsung that is mentioned in Tecno’s upcoming Phantom X smartphone teaser, however, a Samsung fan criticized Tecno swiftly.

“The same melody, the same lyrics, the same song over and over again. Your ears are saying they’re exhausted with the same routines every day. Why not try something new? You will discover more exquisite melodies.”

Not only Samsung but Tecno also took a strong jibe at Apple, Tweeting that “a rotten apple means it has lost its nutrients, oxidized and brought in a lot of bugs.” Well, the phone maker is not much popular compared to the two industry giants, but it’s directly teasing both of them.
