YouTube Music app update brings new mood filter called Energize
YouTube Music is a music application developed by Google that allows users to browse songs and music videos on YouTube based on genres, playlists, and recommendations. The service also offers a premium tier, which enables ad-free playback, audio-only background playback, and download songs for offline playback.
As per the information (via- XDA Developers), Google has started sending a new update to the YouTube Music app, which brings a new mood filter called Energize for Android and iOS. It helps you boost your energy during a long day or when you feel unmotivated.
The Energize filter appears in the activity bar at the top of the “Home” tab. When you click it, the button turns white, indicating that you are in power-on mode.
The feature adds with Workout, Focus, Relax, and Commute filters. In the gym, you can choose the “workout” filter to get suggestions, while for relaxation and learning, there are “Focus” and “Relax” filters.
This feature combines with Workout, Focus, Relax and Commute filters. When you’re at the gym, you can choose the “Workout” filter to receive tips and assorted content to amuse yourself. For relaxation and learning, there are “focus” and “relax” filters.
Notably, this new Energize filter has now rolled out on Android and iOS. If you haven’t seen this feature yet, you can update your YouTube Music app to the latest version from the Google Play Store.
Now, the “Mixed for You” section contains the main Energy Supermixes and Mixes 1, 2, 3. There is a variety of different playlists covering different genres such as pop music, dance club beats, country pick-me-ups, Hip-hop energy, and more.
In the past few months, YouTube Music has gained some new features, such as free background playback in specific regions, community-generated playlists, and Material You home screen widgets.

The update’s changelog mentions improvement for the “Update all” function. Bug fixes are also included which should improve the customization experience. Hence, Galaxy users are advised to install the latest version as soon as they receive it via the Galaxy Store.
Good Lock’s latest update comes as a fresh release over the last that happened in late January. The application hasn’t received any new updates in February and March. This makes the April release a significant update in terms of bringing improvements.
