Samsung Customer Care hosted 3rd National Skills Competition 2021 in the US
On November 5, 2021, Samsung Electronics America’s Customer Care team hosted its third National Skills Competition 2021 at its Samsung Technical Training Center (STTC) in Little Ferry, NJ.
After hosting about 2020, the Customer Care Unit brought together 15 professionals in person for the TV and Home Appliance (HA) repair competition which is accompanied by advanced technical training.
On this fifteen national finalists have been selected to compete in this year’s event, three of whom are participants from previous years. Since the first competition in 2019, every year the competition venues change as product or service categories vary due to the introduction of a new product.
The HA awards were honored by Rohan Brown of Home Service Network Inc (first place), Amin Boroumand of FA Display (second place), and Joseph Lee of NISI-HA (third place).
The TV awards were honored by Hieu Tran of Hi Definition Electronics Inc (first place), Youseong Yang of Service Quick Inc (second place), and Christopher Mieske of One Stop Appliance Repair Inc (third place). The award-winning organizations received cash prizes of $15,000 (first place), $7,500 (second place), and $4,000 (third place) respectively.
Customer Care plans to continue hosting the annual Skills Competition to develop product engineers as subject specialists. When asked about participating in upcoming Skills competitions both winners were enthusiastic.
Brown said “Anxiety was high, but I enjoyed myself. I could feel I need to keep it up so that I could improve in different areas. It motivated me to come back for next year.” Tran agreed saying, “This was new to me but I had a great time. I’m definitely motivated to come back. Hopefully, I can come back next year!”

Samsung has rolled out a new update for its Good Lock app with version 2.2.04.92. This update introduces significant enhancements and bug fixes to provide a better experience.
The fresh update brings improvement to the “update all” feature. This function is now more efficient, allowing users to seamlessly update all components of the Good Lock suite with a single tap.

Samsung has released an update for its Group Sharing app for One UI devices, which can be verified through One UI build version 13.6.13.2. This update enhances the app’s functionality and resolves several issues to provide a smoother user experience.
The Group Sharing app comes pre-installed on Samsung Galaxy devices. It serves as a platform for users to share content across Samsung’s essential apps such as Gallery, Samsung Note, Calendar, and Reminder. It utilizes Samsung account share groups for efficient content distribution among contacts.
With the new update, users can expect a more seamless sharing process and error-free service. However, it does not bring any new features or changes but improves the app’s overall performance.

Samsung Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra smartphones are getting an April 2024 security update in Korea, following the release in the US, India, Canada, and Europe. The update improves system security and stability to provide a better Galaxy experience.
Users of the Samsung Galaxy S23 series can identify the April 2024 security update in Korea through One UI build version S91xNKSS2CXD5 and an installation package size of around 366.43MB.
The latest patch fixes over 40 issues to make the smartphone more secure, stable, and reliable. It mainly resolves problems related to Storage Manager Service, Out of bounds write, and more.
You can check the update by navigating to the device’s Settings, then a Software update, and Download and install. If you have received the update, install it now to get enhanced features.
