Samsung is preparing to renew its flagship Android tablet with the Galaxy Tab S8 series in the coming months. There are rumors that there will be three models – Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8 +, and Tab S8 Ultra. We have been hearing about new tablets for some time, with many leaks in the past revealing a few important details about them.

Now, Samsung’s new device with model number SM-X808U appeared on the Geekbench website, showing its processor and memory details. It is a 5G version of the Galaxy Tab S8+ designed for the US market. In addition to this, the tablet uses the upcoming Qualcomm processor, the Snapdragon 898. The device scored 1,211 points in Geekbench’s core CPU performance tests and 3,193 points in multi-core CPU tests.

The chipset seems to have a single CPU clocked at 3GHz, three CPU cores clocked at 2.5GHz, and four CPU cores clocked at 1.9GHz. The Galaxy Tab S8+ seems to have 8GB of RAM and runs Android 12. Whether Samsung uses the new Android 12L operating system in the Galaxy Tab S8 series remains to be seen.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Specifications

According to the report, the upcoming Samsung tablet will have an 11-inch LCD screen with a resolution of 120Hz and a resolution of 1600 × 2560 pixels – unchanged than before. It will be the same size and weight. 8,000mAh battery and 45W cable charging instantly load unchanged, as well as cameras. This will have a 13-megapixel main rear camera and a 5-megapixel second sensor. The front-facing camera is an 8-megapixel sensor.

Interestingly though the report says the Galaxy Tab S8 will be powered by a Snapdragon 888 SoC with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. With the Snapdragon 898 (whatever Qualcomm calls it) expected to arrive in a few months, the tablet had to have a new chipset. Yes, previous reports have suggested that it will get a new Snapdragon SoC. We will therefore have to wait for further reports to confirm that.

The Galaxy Tab S8 reportedly will have a powerful fingerprint scanner embedded in the power button, like the previous model. Possibly this is not an official offer and therefore, it may not be entirely accurate. The legitimacy of leaked specs also cannot be verified. You can expect the next leak to paint a clear picture of the Galaxy Tab S8.
