One UI 4.0 Tip: How to enable Data saver on Samsung Galaxy devices?

Since we all use multiple applications in our smartphones as needed, in which some apps consume large amounts of data very frequently. But when the Data saver is enabled, it can reduce the frequency of execution and help reduce our data usage. How to turn on Data saver on Samsung Galaxy phones?

Data savers help reduce your data usage by preventing apps from using data in the background.  Keep in mind, when Data Saver is enabled, some app notifications or emails will not come until you open and refresh the app. However, you can easily allow all apps that have full access to data usage that is prioritized for you.

Check your current mobile and Wi-Fi data usage. You can also customize warnings and limits.

1. Go to your phone’s Settings
2. Tap Connections
3. Click on Data usage.

Turn on Data saver

• Use a Data saver to reduce your data consumption by preventing selected apps from sending or receiving data in the background.

1. From Settings, tap Connections > Data usage > Data saver.
2. Tap to turn on Data saver.

• To allow some apps to have unrestricted data usage, tap Allowed to use data
  while Data saver is on, and tap next to each app to specify restrictions.
