Here’s how to enable app switching using home key on your Galaxy Watch 4

Published

on

Samsung Galaxy Watch 4

Android is great for most applications and multitasking, and for phones and tablets, you can quickly switch between the last two used apps by double-clicking the all-view button.

And with Samsung choosing the Wear OS for its smartwatches this year, faster app changes are now available for Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic.

For previous Galaxy watches using Tizen, you can only double-click the home button to switch to the last application used on the face of the clock.

For new Samsung watches, you can double-click any home button to switch to the previous app you opened, and then double it again to return to the original one. It works as basic as it does on Android phones and tablets, and it’s very simple.

Switching apps on Galaxy Watch 4 using the home key

The home key is not provided for switching to the last application used on a double press, but it is easy to change that.

  • First, open the Settings app in your Galaxy Watch 4/Watch 4 Classic by swiping down the screen and touching the cache icon.
  • Scroll down and tap Advanced features, then navigate to customize the keys.
  • Here, simply tap the Double-press option under the Home key tab and select Go to the most recent app.

Of course, if you want to assign the action of pressing the home key to one of the other, you can choose from many other options. You can customize it by pressing and holding the home/power key, and the normal background button is reset.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3

With the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung has made a major change in Cover Display, and it could be the biggest change in the device. Now it’s great and bigger in size.

Samsung says it is four times bigger than the previous Galaxy Z Flip, but specs do not indicate that. It moves from a 1.1-inch oval screen to a 1.9-inch screen from the top of the phone.

Now that Cover Display is so big, it is also very useful. You can see the notifications and actually read them. In fact, you can read two notices at a time, and scroll through them. But Samsung also added a way to add widgets to Cover Display. Allows you to swipe over to see things like the weather, your current music/podcasts, and a few other things.
