Back in 2019, Samsung launched its new budget smartphone called Galaxy M30s. The device came pre-installed with Android 9-based One UI 1.x out of the box and later on received the One UI 2.0 update on top of Android 10. Going further, the company had also released the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update for the smartphone.

As the Galaxy M30s is a budget smartphone and belongs to the Galaxy M series, the company concluded its major software update lifecycle. Meanwhile, the device is still eligible for new security patch updates as well as new features until 2023, thanks to new Samsung update policy.

If you want to check for the latest update manually, head to your device Settings tap on Software updates and finally hit the Download and install button.

October 12: October 2021 Security Patch

The Galaxy M30s started getting the October 2021 security patch with a new firmware update in India. The update carries PDA version number M307FXXU4CUI1. Other than the new security patch, the update changelog didn’t mention any new features or changes. Source

Samsung already rolled out a September 2023 security update for a bunch of Galaxy devices and the company is now making it available for 4 more Galaxy smartphones – Galaxy A32, Galaxy A21s, Galaxy A02, and Galaxy M02. The latest update improves system security and stability by installing the latest Android security patch.

September 2023 security patch mends over 60 flaws, which are mainly related to Samsung Keyboard, Dual Messenger, Knox AI, Phone and Messaging Storage, One UI Home, Weather, and more.
