Update 1 – Korea

The Galaxy S20 and Galaxy Note 20 series have started grabbing the latest October 2021 security update in South Korea. Alongside this, the update also installs the Digital Key feature, which was officially announced earlier today.

  • Galaxy S20 Plus – G986NKSU1EUI3
  • Galaxy S20 Ultra – G988NKSU1EUI3

Samsung started releasing the October 2021 security patch update to the Galaxy S21 series smartphone users in Germany, the Philippines and India. However, it’s an initial rollout, the company will expand the availability of this firmware to more regions gradually.

According to the information, the update can be identified via PDA release numbers: G991BXXU3AUIE, G996BXXU3AUIE, and G998BXXU3AUIE for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Plus and Galaxy S21 Ultra respectively.

So far, the South Korean tech giant didn’t reveal the details of its October 2021 security patch for the Galaxy devices. We can expect, the security bulletin will be released in the coming days or in the first week of October 2021.

Notably, Samsung is conducting the Android 12-based One UI 4 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series in the US, Germany, and South Korea. In addition, the company will soon expand this activity for the latest flagship devices in India, China, UK and China.
