Breaking: Don’t throw your Galaxy Z Flip 3 on bed or sofa, Samsung may end warranty
Back in August 2021, Samsung launched the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphones that feature several futuristic capabilities such as IPX8 rating and Snapdragon 888 SoC, as well as a covered screen with UTG (ultra-thin glass).
Meanwhile, a famous tipster recently claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip 3 records acceleration data of all free-fall events in the background that can be used by the OEM for warranty purposes. If the user accidentally dropped the phone due to his own reasons, the company won’t provide a free warranty service.
Adding to this, the same source also suggested that Samsung’s criterion for free fall is 1m height. If this information is true, Samsung will refuse free repairs with acceleration data even if there is no trace of damage to the phone during the warranty period because of the record of drop data.

Additionally, the tipster said that consumers aren’t recommended to throw the Galaxy Z Fold 3 or Galaxy Z Flip 3 foldable smartphone on the bed, sofa, or pillow to play, as this will cause the phone to record abnormal acceleration data.
As part of making it sensible news, FrontTron added a repair case about this phone in which a user’s mobile phone hinge suddenly broke during normal use last month. Moving on, the background data revealed that the phone had three free fall events before, which is the reason behind the broken hinge.
Samsung can reject free repairs even if you are under warranty and there are no visible cracks or scratches along the chassis.

Along with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 5G, Samsung has officially ended software update support for two more Galaxy devices – the Galaxy M51 phone and Galaxy Tab A7 tablet. This means that these devices will no longer receive any software updates.
Both the Samsung Galaxy M51 and Galaxy Tab A7 were launched in 2020 and came pre-installed with Android 10. They received updates up to Android 12, and are not eligible for more Android updates. Now, these devices have completed their software update cycle.

Samsung Galaxy A52s 5G is a well-loved smartphone in the Galaxy A series that has now shifted from a monthly to a quarterly update plan. This means that users of this device will now receive software updates every three months instead of every month.
The Korean tech giant has recently announced its revised update schedule for its Galaxy devices, which places the Galaxy A52s 5G in the Quarterly update category.
