Samsung to lead the global chip market in third quarter 2021

The business has been thriving with Samsung Electronics. Although some of its phases are under pressure, the semiconductor unit has been making money. Various factors have contributed to its growth.

The shortage of the global semiconductor is one of them. The demand of the semiconductor remains raised, the average selling price of semiconductor products has grown steadily. This has enabled Samsung to increase its profits significantly. Market analysts expect Q3 2021 to be one of Samsung’s best locations yet.

Analysts predict that Samsung will report 16.3 trillion won or about $13.8 billion in operating profits for the period July-September 2021. This will represent a 31.9 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The company is expected to send a 12.2%increase in sales to 75.1 trillion won or about $70 billion in Q3 2021. Related to Q2 2021, Samsung’s operating profit and revenue will be 29.7 and 18% respectively.

Samsung recently returned the big chip vendor’s crown to Intel. Market analysts expect the company to retain the title as it is likely to make $22.32 billion in semiconductor sales during Q3 2021.

The mobile unit is also expected to do well this quarter. It can report better earnings than the previous quarter with increased shipping and mid-scale price due to new folding smartphones.
