Samsung Galaxy Note 22 Ultra with S Pen Camera shines in concept
As promised, HoiINDI just brought us the high-resolution CAD renders of the future Samsung smartphone, which was previously expected to come as the Galaxy Note 22 Ultra. A few days back, LetsGoDigital spotted a new design patent that showcases a futuristic S Pen having a camera lens on top.
Following the patent application, the concept creator created a collection of the so-called Galaxy Note 22 Ultra smartphone from every possible angle. The main highlight of this smartphone, which is that it has the S Pen chamber on top left corner instead of the traditional bottom right area.
Galaxy Note with S Pen Camera
Back on March 5, 2021, Samsung filed a new smartphone design patent at WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) with the title “Portable terminal including separable camera”, which was published on September 10.
The patent document revealed, Samsung discovered a new design for future Galaxy Note smartphone that comes with an excellent S Pen that will have an image sensor as well. Accordingly, the problem of the selfie camera hole of the display will be easily solved, and image resolution won’t be reduced after all.
This finding suggests how the Korean phone maker is still exploring new possibilities for a removable S Pen stylus. Therefore, the latest one reveals that the company has filed a new patent for a rod-shaped detachable camera that also has a nib for writing with it.

Quite similar to the gorgeous front appearance, the Galaxy Note 22 Ultra also looks attractive from the back. its big and elegant vertically placed rectangular camera setup equips an ultrawide shooter, a wide-angle camera, a telephoto camera, and a depth lens.
Besides, the camera housing also has an LED flash and a laser autofocus sensor for better imaging performance even at night or in low light conditions. At the bottom, it lacks the dedicated S Pen slot as it’s replaced to the top left corner for reducing the chances of falling down.

Huawei is all set to launch the world’s first tri-fold foldable smartphone. The company just dropped a bombing teaser, confirming its mega launch event. This massive development comes when Samsung stalls and Apple remains foldable-free.
Samsung showcased tri-fold screen prototype devices on many occasions. It was expected to debut the world’s first triple-screen foldable smartphone. However, Huawei is all set to attain this crown beating Samsung and other vendors.
Huawei confirmed its next hardware launch event taking place on September 10. It’s right a day after Apple’s iPhone 16 unveiling scheduled for September 9. Tri-fold could significantly harm Apple’s presence in the Chinese market.
In addition, Huawei Consumer Business Group Chairman – Yu Chengdong said the company’s most leading, innovative, and disruptive product is coming.

Tri-fold concept previously showcased a device having screens on three sides. The phone will have two hinges, allowing users to expand all three displays. The current foldable features a single hinge in the middle, offering a tablet-like screen size.
Beyond that, the tri-fold phone would offer an even larger screen in a more portable size. Software-derived features could further enhance usability, with one panel being used as a keyboard and others as screen and standing support.
Durability still remains the main concern in this kind of innovative device. Foldable phones launched by Samsung and Huawei are gradually entering the mainstream. However, consumers still refrain from preferring foldable as their next upgrade.
Huawei’s tri-fold could remain a China-exclusive product. Samsung may also come up with its tri-fold handset in the near future. The Display department has worked enough on the panel, but the Mobile division hasn’t yet approved development.
Apple is launching the iPhone 16 series next month but Samsung’s biggest challenge could come in 2025. Apple analyst recently shed light on expected specifications of the next year’s iPhone models, pointing to some notable upgrades.
Ming-Chi Kuo leak suggests the iPhone 17 Pro Max could be Samsung’s biggest challenge in 2025. The high-end device could be equipped with 12GB RAM and upgraded cooling technology – Vapor Chamber combined with graphite sheets.
Bigger RAM will improve the overall performance of the most expensive iPhone next year. In addition, the upgraded vapor chamber cooling technology will offer enhanced thermal dissipation, ultimately improving the user experience.
Samsung’s various Galaxy devices have been using vapor chamber cooling tech for years. Despite using a dedicated thermal management component, Android flagships lag behind Apple’s iPhone models in performance and efficiency.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra coming early next year should get a better cooling component. Apple could be adopting the technology years after Android. Hence, a mature and stable performing thermal management is likely in the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
Qualcomm is fueling the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with on-device AI and Oryon CPU. The chip may consume more power than previous ones to offer better performance. It would be interesting to see how the chip designer handled the thermal management.
Other iPhone models of the lineup alongside the SE could use 8GB RAM. These handsets are unlikely to feature upgraded vapor chamber cooling technology. The Pro Max could remain the most-selling iPhone in 2025 as well, seizing around 40% share.
Apple’s going to ship the first iPhones pre-loaded with AI-powered features. The next year’s lineup could introduce notable upgrades in the AI segment. It would make the iPhone 17 Pro Max a major selling point in the global market.
Samsung seems to be making the Galaxy S25 Ultra its most wonderful flagship. The smartphone is said to get major design refinements. A new leak suggests that it would beat all the premium rivals in terms of slimness and weight.
Ice Universe claims Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will be the “thinnest and lightest of all Ultra flagships.” The source noted that it will be thinner and lighter than the recently released Pixel 9 Pro XL and the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro Max.
Google’s Pixel 9 Pro XL weighs 221 grams while the iPhone’s weight could be 225 grams. That said, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will weigh less than 221 grams. The company could use improved Titanium material to reduce the flagship’s weight further.
The iPhone 16 Pro Max could be 8.3mm thick, 0.2mm less than the Pixel 9 Pro XL. Going by the tipster’s revelation, the Galaxy S25 Ultra could be thinner than 8.3mm. The iPhone hasn’t yet launched, but set to go official on September 9th.
The S25 Ultra will be the thinnest and lightest of all Ultra flagship phones to be released soon, including iPhone 16 Pro Max and Pixel 9 Pro XL.

Making smartphones thinner and lighter is considered a pretty big challenge. Adjustment and modification of internal components is a major concern. Still, Samsung isn’t giving up on its Ultra flagships, making the next thinner and lighter than others.
Another significant design change is rumored in the frame appearance. Unlike the S24 Ultra, the next flagship could come with slightly reduced corners. The S Pen will indeed be employed in the smartphone alongside its dedicated silo.
The S25 Ultra is said to get upgraded ultrawide and Telephoto sensors. Both will be new cameras with 50-megapixel resolution, which will join the 200-megapixel primary and 50-megapixel periscope with 5x optical zoom.
It will be powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor from Qualcomm. The chip is getting a new Oryon CPU that will offer a major upgrade in performance. It will be interesting to see if it manages to outperform Apple’s new flagship SoC.
