After a few redesigns over the years, Google Pay wireless and credit card manager has now surpassed the 500 million download milestone in the Google Play Store.
It is important to note that this “new” Google Pay should not be confused with “old” Pay and is only available in a few regions including the United States, India, and Singapore. The whole world still has a version of the estate that manages or manages your bank account and credit cards and any loyalty cards used at NFC stations.
Successfully this app started life on “Tez” in India only and has since moved into the new Google Pay home when the full refund came last year. As a result, Google Pay download numbers have increased slightly as a result of this change.
Then when you see that this is an automated app pre-installed on most Android devices, you start to understand why it reduces the initial download rate of Pay’s 100 million.
With limited availability, it is still an impressive download number for Google Pay. If this new version had reached other regions, it would not have been possible to trace that download to the sky.

YouTube kills the affordable ‘Premium Lite’ subscription
YouTube is ending its cheaper “Premium Lite” plan that offered ad-free viewing for €6.99 per month. The plan was only available in some European countries including Belgium, Denmark, Finland, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden since mid-2021. This plan will be discontinued after 25 October 2023.
The “Premium Lite” plan did not include YouTube Music, offline downloads, or background playback, unlike the regular YouTube Premium plan. YouTube says the company is working on different versions of Premium Lite based on user feedback.
YouTube Premium recently increased its prices for individual plans to $13.99/month while family plans cost $22.99/month. YouTube has also been trying to block ad blockers on its platform.
Many users want a more affordable option to watch YouTube videos without ads. YouTube Premium Lite seemed to be a good solution, but it was not widely available. It is unclear if YouTube will launch a similar plan in the future.
