Samsung Galaxy S22 with Android 12 and Snapdragon 895/898 spotted on Geekbench

Since last week, we are getting back-to-back rumors concerning Samsung’s Galaxy S22 series which could announce in January 2022. The latest evidence emerged from Geekbench, which reveals some of the important specs details of the next year’s Galaxy S flagship.

According to the latest news, an alleged Galaxy S22 with model number SM-S901U appeared on Geekbench database that revealed it equips Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship SoC – Snapdragon 895 or 898. The evidence also exposes its codename that is ‘Taro’ manufactured by Samsung’s 4nm process tech.

Going forward with the Geekbench data, the Snapdragon 895 features Adreno 730 GPU and is coupled with 8GB of RAM. Most important, but not surprising, the benchmarked Galaxy S22 smartphone runs the latest Android 12, probably the One UI 4 Beta.

As per the previous reports, the Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 Ultra will feature 45W fast charging support, which the standard Galaxy S22 just 25W. Moreover, the standard variant has smaller dimensions compared to the Apple’s recently launched iPhone 13.

Lastly, the Galaxy S22 lineup will bring both Snapdragon 898 and Exynos 2200 flagship SoCs. In Europe, while Samsung will ship the Exynos variant, while the US and Chinese consumers will get Snapdragon models.
