Samsung Galaxy S21 One UI 4 Beta test firmware ‘ZUI4’ revealed (Android 12)
Samsung has recently confirmed its Android 12 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series smartphone users in three global markets – South Korea, the US, and Germany. However, the company has not released the One UI 4 Beta update to the devices, while, the possible firmware just emerged online.
According to the info, the Korean tech giant is reportedly testing the first One UI 4 Beta build for the Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphone. As per the build number, the test firmware G998BXXU3ZUI4 is under development for the international unlocked S21 Ultra flagship.
If this test build gets stability approval, then the build numbers for the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21+ will be G991BXXU3ZUI4 and G996BXXU3ZUI4. To be mentioned, Samsung could announce the One UI 4 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series consumers in India, Poland, UK and China as well.

Later last month, Samsung South Korea revealed that it is recruiting the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra users in the country for Android 12 One UI 4 Beta testing activity. Furthermore, the first Beta update will be distributed to the participants in September.
As the One UI 4 Beta test firmware is now emerging on the web, we can take it as a positive move as part of the early Android 12 update arrival for the Galaxy S21 series smartphones. However, the update will be officially released in the coming days.

CVE-2024-44068
Samsung’s changelog mentions only the inclusion of the October patch. Meanwhile, the company highlighted on its security page that it addresses CVE-2024-44068 from the Samsung Semiconductor Division.
The common vulnerability exposure is rated as HIGH leveled flaw, with the description reading “A Use-After-Free in the mobile processor leads to privilege escalation.” The affected chipsets are Exynos 9820, 9825, 980, 990, 850, W920.
How to install:
Galaxy S24, S24 Plus, and S24 Ultra users can easily install the October patch. Head towards Settings, followed by Software update and Download and install. Ensure connectivity to an unmetered connection for seamless installation.

One UI 7 Beta
Samsung confirmed One UI 7 Beta will launch by the end of this year. The Galaxy S24 series is expected to be invited in the first phase of the rollout. The Beta will also be available for general consumers apart from the Developers’ community.
The final version will be announced at the Galaxy Unpacked next year.
