WhatsApp will make terms of service optional in future, here’s how

Earlier this year, WhatsApp announced plans to renew its terms of service and privacy policy that would authorize users to share their personal information with Facebook when a user submits a WhatsApp Business account.
However, the failure of WhatsApp to communicate effectively with new developments has created widespread confusion among users, forcing the company to delay the deadline that required everyone to accept the new changes.
The company then revealed that it had pushed a deadline to May 15 and that users who did not accept the new policy on that day would start to see their WhatsApp activities gradually reduced over time.

However, as the reaction continued, WhatsApp was forced to review the change, with the company later confirming its decision not to delete or reduce accounts. Now new evidence suggests that a Facebook-owned company may be making new terms of service optional.
WhatsApp Terms of Service
According to WABetainfo, WhatsApp will allow users to continue using the service as is the case even if they do not accept updated terms of service. The company now plans to limit this mandatory change to WhatsApp Business messaging.
In simple words, if you use WhatsApp to chat with your friends and family, you can choose to ignore the terms and continue using the app without attracting any restrictions. However, if you want to chat with business accounts, WhatsApp will need to “update and accept the WhatsApp update.”
The following message will be displayed when a user tries to send a message with a business account:
WhatsApp asks the user to accept the updated terms of service before sending messages via a business account. WhatsApp always maintains that its updated terms of service will only apply to users who send messages to WhatsApp Business accounts.
WABetainfo says WhatsApp plans to announce the new change in Terms of Service “soon” and that a future version of WhatsApp beta will support the change. WhatsApp has yet to officially confirm this new change.
WhatsApp preps a bold Contrast booster as part of Accessibility upgrade

WhatsApp has pushed a new update for Android, which shows the Accessibility Menu is under development. The new update arrives with version 2.25.15.22 through the Google Play Beta Program.
In the latest beta update, WhatsApp is developing a new accessibility menu for Android users. It includes a setting to help users increase contrast. This means users will be able to make text, buttons, and other elements easier to see by making them more visible more from the background.
This is especially useful for people who have trouble seeing certain colors, have low vision, or who use WhatsApp in bright or dark lighting. When this feature is turned on, it will improve how clearly things appear on the screen to make the app easier to read and use.

WhatsApp will add a new “Accessibility” menu to the app settings, so you can easily access the features. This section will be a place where users can find tools to make WhatsApp work better for their needs. The contrast setting is just the first feature, and more accessibility options are likely to be added in future updates.
The new contrast setting is currently under development and not yet available for use. It will be released in a future update. For now, users can download the latest beta version from the Google Play Beta Program and wait for more updates soon. Stay tuned for more information.
WhatsApp bringing a new chat privacy feature to limit media sharing

WhatsApp has released a new update for Android users through the Google Play Beta Program with version 2.25.10.14. The update introduces a new feature to improve privacy in chats.
The latest beta update reveals that WhatsApp is working on a new feature that will give users more control over how their chats are shared. This feature will stop photos and videos sent in chats from being automatically saved to your phone’s gallery.
Right now, this feature is only available for disappearing messages, but soon it will apply to all chats. This means you can keep your gallery clean and protect your privacy.
In addition, WhatsApp will block the export of chat histories when the privacy setting is enabled. If someone has this setting turned on, their chat history won’t be able to be shared or exported outside of WhatsApp.
This feature protects sensitive conversations and gives users more control over their data. However, users can still forward messages, so it doesn’t stop that. Notably, it will be optional, so users can choose to enable or disable it in individual chats, and you’ll receive a notification if the setting is changed.
This new privacy feature is currently under development and will be available in a future WhatsApp update. Stay tuned for more information.
WhatsApp Beta lets you message contacts directly from status

WhatsApp has released a new update for Android users, which introduces a helpful new feature that allows users to message people directly from their status updates. The new beta update arrives with version 2.25.9.6 through the Google Play Beta Program.
Before this update, if you wanted to message someone who had viewed your status, you had to leave the status screen, search for the contact in your chat list, and open the chat. This process could take time.
The fresh beta update solves this by adding a shortcut in the viewer’s list, which lets you quickly open the chat with that person. With just a tap, you can directly go to the chat window and start messaging.
With this new feature, WhatsApp is making it even easier to interact with contacts and follow up on status updates. Currently, the send message from status feature is under testing, and only beta users can enjoy it.
However, it will be rolled out to more users in the upcoming weeks. Once it becomes available, users will be able to message contacts directly from their status update screen, which makes conversations faster and more convenient.
WhatsApp preparing to share motion photos in chats

WhatsApp has released a new beta update for Android, which brings the ability to share motion photos. This feature has been spotted in the latest beta version 2.2.25.12 and will be available in a future update.
Motion photos are different types of images that capture a few seconds of movement and sound before and after the picture is taken. They’re different from regular photos because they combine a short video clip with the photo, which makes the moment feel more lively and real.
Several devices, including Samsung Galaxy, Google Pixel, and iPhones, feature motion photos. It has different names on different smartphones, like Motion Photo, Top Shot, or Live Photos.
In the new WhatsApp update, users will be able to share these motion photos in individual chats, group chats, and channels. This gives users more flexibility and options for sharing photos.
When you select a photo to send, there will be a new button that lets you choose whether to send the still photo or the motion photo. The feature will work in both individual and group chats and even channels.
The motion photo feature is still in development, but it will be available in a future WhatsApp update. Stay tuned for more information as this feature becomes available soon.
