T-Mobile releases August 2021 update for Samsung Galaxy S10 5G

The Galaxy S10 series devices had recently started picking up their August 2021 security update in select European countries. Now, the latest information suggests that the company is expanding the availability of this firmware to the T-Mobile Galaxy S10 5G consumers in the US.

In the US, T-Mobile locked Galaxy S10 5G smartphones receiving a new software update that sports build number G977TUVS7FUG6. For your information, the release comes with the latest Android and One UI patches released in August 2021.

It’s worth mentioning that the August 2021 security update includes fixes for 38 CVEs, including 3 critical, from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung for the Galaxy S10 5G devices. However, the update should also bring enhancements to the overall performance.

One UI 3.1.1 or One UI 4, What’s next?

Although it’s a minor firmware update that includes just new Android patches for device security improvements. Meanwhile, it’s reported that Samsung is not in a mood to offer the full-fledged One UI 3.1.1 update to the current Galaxy phones and tablets.

Apart from this, preparation of the Android 12 update for Galaxy devices has begun and Samsung is expected to announce the One UI 4 Beta program for the Galaxy S21 series flagships in the coming days/month. The Galaxy S10 units are eligible for the Android 12 update, but the Beta invitation could not arrive ahead.

  • Hit the Download and install button.
