The Galaxy Z Fold 3 is the latest and most premium smartphone offering from Samsung to date. The device was launched on August 11 at the 4th Unpacked event of 2021. Instead of the One UI 3.5, the company is shipping the One UI 3.1.1 version with these new foldable devices.
However, the 3.1.1 version of the One UI is just a minor upgrade over the One UI 3.1 but it sports some foldable-focussed features such as Multi-Window mode and S Pen with Air Command. At the same time, it also brings improvements to the existing functions for enhanced performance.

You can view information, such as the clock or calendar, or control music playback on the screen when it is turned off.
You can also check notifications for new messages or missed calls.
The Always On Display is set to appear only when you tap the screen. To change the settings to make it appear continuously or during a set time, on the Settings screen, tap Lock screen → Always On Display, and then select a mode you want.
The brightness of the Always On Display may change automatically depending on the lighting conditions.

Opening notifications on the Always On Display
When you receive message, missed call, or app notifications, notification icons will appear on the Always On Display. Double-tap a notification icon to view its notification.
If the screen is locked, you must unlock it to view notifications.
Deactivating the Always On Display feature
Open the notification panel, swipe downwards, and then tap (Always On Display) to deactivate it. If you cannot find (Always On Display) on the quick panel, tap and drag the button over to add it.
Alternatively, on the Settings screen, tap the Lock screen, and then tap the Always On Display switch to deactivate it.
Samsung’s One UI 7 Beta Program for Galaxy S24 series hit full capacity. If you missed joining the Beta Program, there’s good news: Samsung is expected to reopen the One UI 7 Beta on Monday along with the Beta 2 launch.
Max Jambor revealed that Samsung may open the second phase of One UI 7 Beta registration, and the date aligns with previous rumors of a Beta 2 launch. The rollout of the second Beta should bring another opportunity to join the Beta.
At present, Samsung is running the Beta Program for the Galaxy S24 series. The program is already live in four out of six key markets: Germany, South Korea, the UK, and the US.

Recently, Samsung Support confirmed that the One UI 7 Beta Program will start on December 16 in India, and the same date is rumored for the remaining European market: Poland.
The Beta participants will receive an incremental update as Beta 2 on their Galaxy S24 device. However, the latest build will directly be provided to the Wave 2 markets: India and Poland.
The second Beta of One UI 7 will bring improved animation and transition effects. Samsung users can expect more natural and fluid system animations in the next Beta updates.
