Stock Samsung apps will stop showing ads with future One UI updates

Recently, it’s reported that TM Roh, Samsung’s President and Head at Mobile Communications Business confirmed that ads will soon be discontinued from the official stock applications. This is because an employee asked TM Roh why stock apps contain ads.

According to the info, TM Roh said that the future builds of Samsung Pay, Samsung Themes, Samsung Weather, etc. will stop the advertisements and promotions. To be mentioned, Dr. Roh added that Samsung listens to the voices of employees and users.

Apart from TM Roh, a Samsung official said that “The bitterness of employees is absolutely necessary for the growth and development of the company.” With the upcoming One UI updates, the ads will be removed from the stock applications gradually.

It’s important to mention that Samsung has started showing ads and promotions in select stock apps such as Samsung Pay, Samsung Theme, and Samsung Whether. Following this, Samsung consumers started questioning whether they further purchase Galaxy products or not, just because of ads.
