Samsung Galaxy A71 August 2021 security update rollout begins!

Samsung just pushed a new software update for the Galaxy A71 smartphone users, which focuses on system security improvements by installing the most up-to-date security patches released in August 2021.

Identified via PDA version number – A715FXXU6BUH1, the Galaxy A71 August 2021 update is initially rolling out in Poland. Since it is a primary rollout, the release could expand to other regions in the coming days or weeks.

Starting August, the Korean tech giant confirmed that this month’s security update includes fixes for 38 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from the OEM for every eligible Galaxy device user. Read more

Furthermore, the latest Galaxy A71 update doesn’t bring any new features or system changes, while, it enhances the device functions as well as stock applications for a better overall user experience.

Check for updates manually

You can check for the updates manually by opening your device’s Settings, finding and selecting the Software updates menu, waiting until the phone detects a new OTA update, and finally tapping on Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy A71 Android 12 Status

Starting 2021, Samsung rolled out the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 update for the Galaxy A71 handset, followed by One UI 3.1 in late Q1 2021. And now, it’s anticipated that the device will also get the One UI 3.1.1 update, which was released on August 11 alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3.

Speaking about Samsung’s Android 12 update, it will be rolled out to the Galaxy A71 users in early next year. Ahead of stable rollout, the company will conduct the One UI 4.0 (based on Android 12) Beta trial for select flagship smartphones. Read more here
