Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite gets August 2021 update in India

The Galaxy S10 and Galaxy Note 10 series flagships are still waiting to get the most up-to-date security patch, and Samsung started upgrading the affordable Galaxy S10 Lite in India with the latest Android and One UI patch update released in August 2021.

Initially released in Span, the Galaxy S10 Lite August 2021 security update is now making its way to the Indian consumers, bearing firmware version – G770FXXS5EUG5. The update didn’t bring any new features or major optimizations except for the system security improvements.

A few days back, the South Korean tech giant published the August 2021 security bulletin, which explains this update brings fixes for 38 CVEs from Google (including 3 critical) and 8 SVEs from Samsung to enhance the overall device stability.

What about One UI 4.0?

It’s noteworthy that the company is swiftly working to begin the One UI 4.0 Beta, based on Android 12, program for the Galaxy S21 series. However, the entire Galaxy S10 family is eligible for this major update, but we’re not sure about invitation for Beta trial, which could start later this month.

How to check for updates manually

  • Open device Settings
  • Scroll down and tap on Software updates
  • Hit the Download and install button.
