Samsung Galaxy S21 capturing key moments on camera at Tokyo 2020 Olympics

Samsung showcased the ability of the Galaxy S21 series camera at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games. The company shared a gallery of high-quality photos, all taken during the event. The company is partnering with Getty trained photographer Mark Metcalfe who has been tasked with capturing key camera moments at the Olympics using the Galaxy S21.

Samsung is an Olympic partner, and it is not the first time that the Galaxy S21 series has been mentioned in the same sentence as the sporting event. The company presented Galaxy S21 kits to Olympic and Paralympic athletes and announced a $1,000 prize for every Canadian Olympic medal.

Capturing Olympic moments with Galaxy S21 8K Video Snap and Single Take

The photos were taken with the highest-end model of the Galaxy S21 Ultra, even though Samsung is pressuring the entire series publicly with this latest report. However, these images were made with the same technology as Bright Night sensor, 8K Video Snap, and Single Take, all found throughout the Galaxy S21 flagship trio.

But in terms of technical specs, the Galaxy S21 and Galaxy S21 + share triple camera settings including a large 12MP unit with Dual Pixel PDAF and OIS, a 12MP high-resolution camera, and a 64MP phone with PDAF, OIS, once up to 3x hybrid zoom.

Currently, the Galaxy S21 Ultra uses a 108MP large camera with laser autofocus and OIS, a 12MP ultrawide sensor, a 10MP shooter, and a 10MP periscope camera with 10x optical zoom.
