Verizon: Samsung Galaxy S21 July 2021 security update starts rolling out
The Galaxy S21 is Samsung’s latest and most-premium smartphone lineup as of now. Recently, these devices started receiving a new software update in the United States, which brings system security improvements.
According to the info, Verizon pushed a new firmware update for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, and Galaxy S21 Ultra smartphones. The update installs the latest July 2021 Android security patch for better system stability.

A few days ago, another US network carrier T-Mobile released the July 2021 Android patches for the Galaxy S21 series smartphones through a new firmware update. However, the update didn’t include any new features or major changes.
As per the company’s July 2021 security bulletin, the new Galaxy S21 update brings fixes for 41 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung for all the eligible Galaxy devices.
Do note that Verizon is currently expanding this software randomly to select Galaxy S21 series smartphone users in the US. If you haven’t yet received the OTA notification, then check for the s/w updates manually by following the steps given below.

- Hit on Download and install button.

December 2024 security update for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 smartphones can be verified through One UI build version F956NKSS2AXKC and F741NKSS2AXKC respectively. Users will have to download a 380MB package to install the update.
This fresh update is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 update. Users of these phones are waiting for the One UI 7 Beta update to try new features and improvements ahead of the official release.
December 2024 security patch addresses over 45 vulnerabilities, including both Google and Samsung-specific issues to enhance device security.
This update incorporates 6 critical and 28 high-level fixes from Google. Additionally, one previously resolved issue has been readdressed, and another is not relevant to Samsung devices.
On the Samsung side, 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products have been patched. The update also includes 8 fixes listed under Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE), focusing on the Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth functionality, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode.
