Samsung Galaxy A50 is one of the select Galaxy A series devices that are eligible for new security updates every month. According to the info, the device started receiving a new software update in two different regions, which improves system security.

July 2021 security patch is now rolling out for the Galaxy A50 smartphone in the US and South Korea, while European and Asian variants are still waiting to grab it. In the US, Verizon and Sprint have released the new security patch for their branded A50 devices, while it comes for unlocked Korean phones as well.

The latest Galaxy A50 software update comes with build versions: A505USQSDDUF1 and A505NKSU5DUG2 in the US and South Korea respectively. The official update log mentions nothing other than security improvements.

According to official info, the July 2021 security patch brings fixes for 41 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung for Galaxy devices. At the same time, the US carrier-locked Galaxy A50 will also receive additional improvements from Verizon and Sprint.

However, it seems an initial rollout for select users will take some time to expand widely. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A50 users outside the US and Korea are still waiting to get this new security patch update, but it’s expected to be released very soon.
