Samsung just started sending a new firmware update for the Galaxy M51 users in Russia. Along with a newer security patch, the latest update comes with a handful of new features as well as improvements for older ones.

According to Samsung, the new Galaxy M51 update installs the June 2021 Android and One UI security patch in order to enhance the overall system security and device stability.

Furthermore, the update enhances the Quick Share function for improved file sharing between Galaxy devices. At the same time, it includes support for Google RCS a.k.a. Rich Communication Service.

The changelog of this s/w further shows a new feature called 360 audio, which works on Samsung’s latest Galaxy Buds Pro, providing multi-dimensional “theater-like” sound.

However, it is an initial rollout in Russia, the Galaxy M51 users in other regions will get the latest software update in the coming days/weeks. The release number of this update is M515FXXU3CUG1.

You can now check for the update manually by heading towards device Settings, select the Software updates, and tap on Download and install.

Samsung Galaxy devices getting November 2024 updates. One UI 7 Beta remains a hot topic of discussion, due to later this year’s release. The company is ensuring the OS security on Galaxy devices with the November SMR.

November 2024 updates have been rolling out to Samsung devices sequentially. To be noted, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE was the first device to receive the OTA. Interestingly, the rollout was kicked off in the last week of October 2024.

Samsung is continuously expanding the November 2024 security patch. The latest software update brings fixes for 52 vulnerabilities for Android on Galaxy. One UI also getting fixes for plenty of vulnerabilities identified in the previous months.

Over the next few days, the remaining Galaxy devices will also update to the latest patches. You may experience enhanced performance, smoother functioning, and reliable system animations and transitions given various bug fixes.

Samsung has a wide range of Galaxy devices, which keep updating regularly. Flagship phones remain the priority, but mid-range and affordable models also grab the latest software updates as per their schedule and eligibility.

  1. Samsung rolling out the November patch update for the unlocked Galaxy S24 series, bringing an upgraded Auto Blocker with a new Maximum restrictions toggle.

Following locked models, Samsung has now started rolling out the November 2024 security update for unlocked models of Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus, and Galaxy S23 Ultra in the US. The update improves system security and stability to provide a better experience.

Users of unlocked Samsung Galaxy S23 models are getting a November 2024 security update with the One UI builds version given below.

  • S911U1UES5CXI8 – Galaxy S23
  • S916U1UES5CXI8 – Galaxy S23 Plus
  • S918U1UES5CXI8 – Galaxy S23 Ultra

The latest security update is here for the Galaxy S23 series, and it brings security fixes from both Google and Samsung. In total, 52 bugs and vulnerabilities have been patched in Android and Samsung software. Out of these, 38 are considered high-level by Google. There’s also one issue that doesn’t affect Galaxy devices.

Verizon reveals Android 15 November 2024 security patch details

Google has not yet released the latest security update for Pixel phones. Meanwhile, US carrier Verizon has already revealed the November 2024 security patch details for Google Pixel devices running Android 15.

Verizon support page (via 9to5Google) reveals that the Android 15 November 2024 security patch brings general improvements and stability to UI and animations. The page suggests that the rollout should have started on November 5, which didn’t.

Looks like Google addressed some major issues related to functional stability. Pixel 9 series users can expect even better and smoother animations. The November patch is said to bring stability in certain UI transitions and animations.

Apart from this, the carrier’s release notes contain details about the latest security patch coming to the Pixel 9 series. There are also details of what’s coming out for the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, and Pixel 8 series in the next few days.
