Amazon exposed official Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 (Classic) images and specs ahead of launch

Samsung was preparing to introduce its new smartwatch lineup called Galaxy Watch 4 and Galaxy Watch 4 Classic alongside the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3 later this summer.
However, we’ve already seen the official press renders of these products, but Amazon reportedly listed all the Galaxy Watch 4 models along with their complete technical specifications.

According to the info via WinFuture, the Galaxy Watch 4 will be available in 44 and 40 millimeters variants. The company decided to use aluminum metal housings in the cheapest variants.
The Galaxy Watch 4’s 44mm variant has a 1.36-inch display and a 361mAh battery, while the 40mm version features a 1.19-inch display and has a battery capacity of 247mAh.

Galaxy Watch 4 Classic
The rumored Galaxy Watch Active 4 will be known as Galaxy Watch 4 Classic that also be available in two different sizes including 46mm and 42mm. Like the standard models, the Classic variants also have the same battery capacities.
Furthermore, the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic can also be operated by a rotating bezel other than the touch screen. Not surprisingly, all models feature various sport modes and sensors as well including:
- Heart rate
- Blood Oxygen saturation
- WLAN
- Bluetooth
- GPS
- NFC
- LTE (select variants)
Note: All the upcoming Galaxy Watches will run the new version of Google’s Wear OS instead of Tizen OS.

Samsung’s Universal Gestures of Galaxy Watch detailed

Thanks to the One UI Watch’s Universal Gestures, Samsung Galaxy Watch models are suitable for everyone. The feature enhances accessibility and allows you to navigate without having to touch the display or the rotating bezel (or the virtual bezel) at all.
Users of Samsung Galaxy Watch can activate the Universal Gestures through the Accessibility sub-menu under Settings. The “make a fist” gesture selects an item while making a fist twice opens up the Action menu, or activates Universal gestures.

The pinch moves to the next highlighted item while a double pinch returns to highlight the previous item. The Action menu showcases different available actions based on the active app or menu. Interestingly, users having no disabilities would also find the Universal Gestures feature useful.

Verizon rolling out November 2023 update to Galaxy Watch 6 with trimmed Samsung app names

Verizon has started releasing the November 2023 update for Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic in the US. The update brings improvements and enhancements to provide a better experience.
November 2023 update for Verizon Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic can be identified through the build version ending with AWK4 in the US. This update is already available in Korea.
The latest update improves the stability and performance of the device. According to the release notes, the company has simplified the names of some stock apps by removing “Samsung” from them. These apps are:
- Samsung Health > Health
- Samsung Pay > Pay
- Samsung Wallet > Wallet
- Samsung Global Goals > Global Goals
To install the latest update, you just need to open the Galaxy wearable app on a connected Android phone and navigate to Watch Settings>> Watch software update >> Download and install. If an update is available, tap the “Update now” option, and on the Watch software update’ screen, tap “Install now”.
