A few days back, Samsung released the latest security update to the Galaxy Note 9 devices in Mexico. Now, the company expanding this update to more regions as it’s now rolling out in select European countries, mostly in Germany.
According to the info, the Korean tech giant pushed the July 2021 security patch to the Galaxy Note 9 smartphone users n Germany. This update comes with build version N960FXXS8FUF5, which embeds fixes for 41 CVEs from Google and 8 SVEs from Samsung.
Last month, Google confirmed that the Android Auto-related issue will be fixed with Samsung’s July 2021 software update so we can expect that the issue will be addressed after installing the latest Galaxy Note 9 release.
How to check for updates manually
- Open device Settings
- Scroll down and tap on Software updates
- Hit the Download and install button.

More monthly updates will be released!
Last week, Samsung released its new software release roadmap in which the Galaxy Note 9 is listed for monthly security updates. The device will be shifted to the quarterly update schedule after completing the eligibility of monthly security updates.
Basically, the company offers two years of regular monthly security updates, one year of quarterly updates, and two biannual updates in the last/fourth year after the device’s official release. In the meantime, Samsung recently promised five years of security updates to select enterprise models.
