Samsung TV Plus is a free video streaming service that lets Samsung smart TV owners play content even without any additional setup. The service just needs a proper internet connection and presents a number of channels for streaming, however, it shows heavy ads.

According to the info, the company is expanding this ad-supported streaming service as it quietly launched the Samsung TV Plus streaming service on the web. Moreover, it’s also said that consumers will be able to cast videos to Google Chromecast-supported devices to its mobile app this month.

Previously, the Samsung TV Plus service was limited to its self-made devices including smartphones and smart TVs. Meanwhile, the company’s spokesperson said to Protocol that the web version of Samsung TV Plus was launched in the second quarter.

As of now, consumers in the US can access nearly 140 streaming channels such as ABC News Live, PBS Kids, ION Plus, Vice, and a number of genre-specific Vevo channels. Surprisingly, anyone can watch these channels even without having a Galaxy phone or smart TV.

It’s important to mention that the web version of TV Plus was already launched back in May 2021, but the company has not yet officially announced this expansion. Following this, Samsung TV Plus will directly compete with other free streaming services such as Pluto TV and Tubi.
