Samsung Galaxy Note 9 gets July 2021 security update, still eligible for monthly patches

Unsurprisingly, Samsung is now releasing yet another monthly software update for its more than two years older Galaxy Note series flagship. With the new update, the Galaxy Note 9 become the latest to get the July 2021 security patch.

Along with the July 2021 security update, the company included fixes for 41 CVE items from Google and 8 SVE items from Samsung for Galaxy devices. Meanwhile, it’s important to mention that the Galaxy Note 9 July 2021 update rollout is limited to Mexico.

We expect, the OEM will not take too much time to expand its reach to more regions as well as countries. In Mexico, Galaxy Note 9 users can identify this update via PDA build number N9600ZHS7FUG3.

More monthly updates incoming!

Yesterday, Samsung released its revised software release plan in which the Galaxy Note 9 is still listed for monthly security updates.  After completing the eligibility of monthly security updates, the device will be shifted to the quarterly update schedule.
