Samsung July 2021 security patch now releasing for Galaxy Z Flip, Tab Active 3

Over the past few days, Samsung delivered newer security improvements to most of its devices such as Galaxy S20, Galaxy S10, Galaxy Note 20, and Galaxy Note 10 series. In addition, some mid-range phones and tablets have received the same update as well.

Now, the Korean tech giant expanding the July 2021 security patch to the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Tab Active 3 devices in different markets. As reported, the latest security patch should fix the Android Auto-related issue that was reported a few days ago.

Well, the Galaxy Z Flip 5G owners in Germany can identify this update via version number F707BXXU3DUF4, while the Galaxy Tab Active 3 owners in Hong Kong are getting this update with firmware number T575XXS3BUF2.

As always, it’s an initial rollout that may take a while to be available in more regions globally. At the same time, we are still waiting for the company’s July 2021 security bulletin that will reveal the exact CVE fixes from Google and Samsung for Galaxy devices.

How to check for updates manually

Like every time, just open your device’s Settings, scroll down then tap on the Software updates menu. Wait for update checking and hit the Download and install button if the device recognizes a new OTA update.
