Samsung Galaxy A50 at Sprint gets June 2021 security update

Samsung started rolling out a new software update for the Galaxy A50 smartphone in the US. Consumers who had purchased the A50 device from Sprint carrier are now getting the June 2021 security patch with the latest firmware update.

It bears PDA version number: A505USQUCDUE4, and making its way to American consumers gradually. Other than the security improvements, this update doesn’t bring any new features or major system optimization. However, the June 2021 patch includes fixes for 47 CVEs from Google and 19 SVEs from Samsung.

Starting this month, the Korean tech giant had released the June 2021 security patch to the Galaxy A50 devices in India. Later on, the company has expanded to more regions and countries such as Europe. It’s noteworthy that this device gets new security updates monthly even after it belongs to Samsung’s mid-range segment.

You can check for the updates manually by opening your device’s Settings, finding and selecting the Software updates menu, waiting until the phone detects a new OTA update, and finally tapping on Download and install.
