Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 FE and Tab A7 Lite will get new software updates quarterly
Last month, Samsung launched two new tablets called Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite. The former is an affordable variant of the company’s flagship tablet lineup while the latter is a cheaper tablet for normal uses like streaming, normal gaming, watching Samsung TV Plus, etc.
In terms of software, these tablets ship the last year’s Android 11 operating system on top of Samsung’s latest One UI version 3.1. However, the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G is eligible for three major Android upgrades, but the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite will get only two, as per the company’s policy.
Aside from this, the South Korean tech giant also rolls out new security updates on a monthly, quarterly, and biannual basis. All the flagships and select mid-rangers get new security patches every month, while the remaining devices get quarterly.
Recently, Samsung published its revised software update schedule and eligibility. The latest data confirms that the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G and Galaxy Tab A7 Lite are compatible with new security patches every three months for three years, later on, they will get two more updates in the last fourth year.

It’s worth mentioning that Samsung recently confirmed that it will launch the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite on June 23rd through Amazon.in. At the same time, there’s no confirmation regarding the availability of the Galaxy Tab S7 FE 5G in India.

After unlocked models, Samsung has started releasing the April 2024 security update for carrier-locked variants of Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones in the US. The update is live on Comcast, T-Mobile, and Xfinity Mobile network carriers.
April 2024 security patch fixes over 40 security flaws to provide an intuitive experience. It protects against security threats by incorporating the latest security patches for Android. It also enhances some functions to provide a more reliable and efficient user experience.
Users of locked Samsung Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra smartphones can identify the April 2024 security update in the US through PDA version N98XUSQS6HXD1.
If you have received the update pop-up on your smartphone, you can install it to get an enhanced experience. You can check and install the update through Settings >> Software Update >> Download and install.

Samsung has acknowledged the Quick Panel issue in its latest One UI 6.1 update that is affecting users. The issue unexpectedly activates the quick panel when users interact with notifications or try to access detailed views. This problem has been a cause of inconvenience for many Galaxy users.
The tech giant has assured its users that a fix is in the works. A community moderator said the company apologizes for the inconvenience caused by this bug and has promised to deliver a software update to resolve the Quick panel issue on One UI 6.1 devices.
Samsung has not provided a specific timeline for the update but suggested keeping devices up-to-date to benefit from the latest software advancements. The upcoming update is expected to resolve the Quick Panel issue.
Users are advised to stay tuned for the software update, which will include the necessary fix for the Quick Panel bug.

Samsung has pushed an April 2024 security update for the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra smartphones in Korea. This update enhances system security and stability as well as adds new features for a better user experience.
April 2024 security update for the Galaxy S22 series in Korea brings Mobile ID support for the Samsung Wallet app. Through this update, users can save and use their government-issued mobile driver’s license and national veterans registration card on their phones.
However, only IC cards with a mobile ID icon can be added. Users can use it anywhere just like your real ID. In addition, the update also applies the Google security patch to enhance the performance

Users will have to download a 420MB package to install the update. To install the update, need to navigate to Settings >> Software Updates >> Download and install.
