Samsung Galaxy A71 5G gets April 2021 security update
Samsung is now rolling out a new software update to the Galaxy A71 5G smartphones, which brings system security improvements by installing the latest security patches released in April 2021.
Identified via release number: A716BXXU5CUD2, this update is currently spotted in UAE. Since it’s an initial rollout, the company could soon expand the availability of this firmware to more regions.
Other than the security improvements, Samsung’s copy-pasted changelog again arrived with this OTA, which shows system function enhancements, and fixes for bugs for a better overall user experience.
Apart from this, there are no new features or major user interface tweaks noted. It is worth mentioning that the 4G variant of the Galaxy A71 had already received the April 2021 security patch over the air last month.
According to our info, the April 2021 security patch comes with fixes for 30 critical CVEs from Google and 23 CVEs from Samsung. Besides, several Galaxy devices had updated to the May 2021 security patch such as Galaxy A51.
If you own the Galaxy A71, then check for the software updates manually by navigating to your device’s Settings, scroll down and select Software updates, and tap on Download and install.

Samsung has begun releasing a huge size update for Galaxy A52s smartphone, which installs the latest Android security patch release in September 2023 to make your device more secure and stable.
