Earlier today, Samsung published its May 2021 security bulletin, which shows the threats and CVEs fixed with this month’s security update. At the same time, the company released the revised list of devices that are eligible to get new security updates on a monthly, quarterly, and biannual basis.
The updated list came with disappointing news for the Galaxy S8 users as the OEM drew the software update support for this device, after 4 years of its release. Besides, the same data surprisingly shows the Galaxy A82 5G is eligible to get new security updates quarterly.
However, Samsung has not yet launched the Galaxy A82 5G smartphone but accidentally added it to the security bulletin. It’s worth mentioning that, the company unveiled the Galaxy Quantum 2 in South Korea last month and expected to ship this device as the Galaxy A82 5G in the International market.
Samsung Galaxy A82 5G Specs Preview
Samsung Galaxy A82 5G could come with a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Infinity-O display with QHD+ resolution as 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, it has a Snapdragon 855+ processor supported by 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage.
Just like flagships, the Galaxy A82 5G features an in-display ultrasonic fingerprint reader and stereo speakers. And no doubt, the company will ship this handset with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box. In terms of optics, it could have a triple rear camera setup, which consists of a 64MP wide-angle with OIS, 12MP ultrawide, and 5MP macro.
