Samsung ‘Solve For Tomorrow’ extending to more countries for inspiring young minds of students

Launched in the US in 2010, Samsung ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ is one of the flagship programs of the company so far. This initiative has been improving the creativity of 1.8 million students from across 23 countries during its eleven-year run.

Moreover, students participating in the program get a chance to involve in a variety of educational experiences as they work on their ideas, problem-solving, cooperation, and communication skills, and much more.

However, Samsung employees as a part of ‘Design Thinking training’ (which is offered to participating teachers and students) are playing the role of mentors while nurturing the creativity of students.

“With each year of the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow Contest, we’re inspired by the dedicated teachers across the U.S. who are igniting the next generation of scientists, technologists, engineers, and mathematicians,” said Ann Woo, Senior Director of Corporate Citizenship at Samsung Electronics America.

Therefore, this innovative solution for students also earned recognition on the global stage as well. For example, students from Dougherty Valley High School in California earned attention from the Global Climate Action Summit after they designed a device that detects early-stage wildfires.

In the past couple of years, the ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ not only improve the skills of students while educating but also gave them recognition all around the world. Now, the Korean tech giant is set to expand this program even further this year to reach students across more than 30 countries.

Meanwhile, the program which used to be known by different names in different regions is now globally standardized under a single brand name and has undergone changes to provide a more refined curriculum to every student.

As more countries are joining up, Samsung ‘Solve for Tomorrow’ already receiving applications in Europe and Latin America since March while programs in other regions are preparing to launch according to local academic calendars.
