While Samsung has already begun the May 2021 security update rollout, several phones, and tablets still getting older security patches due to their different eligibilities. Now, the Galaxy A70s users receiving a new s/w update in India, which brings system security improvements.

The Galaxy A70s is a mid-range offering from Samsung, which was shipped with Android 9 Pie-based One UI 1.x. Later on, the company delivered the Android 10-based One UI 2.x version last year and the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 features back in March 2021.

Talking about the latest OTA, it carries a PDA release version: A707FDDS3CUD1, which focuses on enhancing the security level of the Galaxy A70s by installing the most up-to-date Android and One UI patches released in April 2021. Other than this, the update doesn’t add new features or major system optimizations while it could fix some issues.

Previously, the Galaxy A70s users received the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 update offers a redesigned user interface as well as new features like – Eye Comfort Shield, Object Eraser, Private Share, Samsung Free, Google Duo integration with stock dialer app, buds Auto Switching, ability to remove location data before sharing and more. Samsung’s latest flagship phones are getting a new firmware update in the US. In a recent development, T-Mobile released the April 2025 One UI 7 update for Samsung’s Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra phones in the US.

Carrier-locked Galaxy S25 series is getting the One UI 7-based April 2025 update from T-Mobile in the US. The latest update carries build version AYDB, which is different from all other carriers and carrier-unlocked releases – AYD9.

The firmware weighs 766 megabytes and carries the April 2025 security patch. The latest patch brings fixes for over 60 common vulnerability exposure items. Beyond that, users will notice new and improved features post-installation.

Samsung is also expanding Media Player support for Now Bar and Live Notifications. The charging indicator is also getting bigger, as well as a revamped and smooth animation. The overall system animations are also smoother than before.

Samsung has pushed the April 2025 security update for Galaxy S25 users in Canada. This Android 15-based software update brings new One UI 7 features to enhance the Galaxy experience.

Users of the Galaxy S25 series are getting the April 2025 security update in Canada with One UI build versions given below.

  • Galaxy S25 – S931WVLU2AYD9
  • Galaxy S25 Plus – S936WVLU2AYD9
  • Galaxy S25 Ultra – S938WVLU2AYD9

The installation package size of this update is around 725MB. It installs the latest Android security patch to improve system security and stability. While the changelog doesn’t list any new features, the update includes several enhancements that other market users have already received.

The fresh update includes a new, smoother charging animation that replaces the older version, and improved animation fluency across the user interface. It is a minor design change based on user feedback from Samsung’s Beta Program.

Now that T-Mobile has resumed the rollout, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Z Flip6 users can install the new One UI 7 update. The latest build can be identified via PDA build version ending with BYD9, which is also available for Verizon models.

Recently, T-Mobile resumed the One UI 7 release for the Galaxy S24 series. As the issue has been resolved, Samsung fans can expect the OTA shortly. The rollout is still expanding sequentially, so you may not see the update immediately.

Samsung Galaxy S24 series at T-Mobile started getting a new One UI 7 update in the US. It marks the resumption of rollout, which started on April 10. The company has temporarily suspended the release due to bugs found in some models.

Galaxy S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra users on the T-Mobile carrier are gradually receiving this new One UI 7 update. It carries the April 2025 patch and includes patches for the bugs that caused serious device unlock issues in South Korea.

The new BYD9 build weighs around 450 megabytes for the Galaxy S24 series. Earlier, the build was distributed to carrier-unlocked models nationwide. T-Mobile has now also pushed the Hotfix update for carrier-locked S24 devices.

Samsung’s One UI 7, based on Android 15, brings a fresh look and smart features to the S24 series. It enhances personalization, AI capabilities, and user experience.
