Samsung Galaxy A22 5G with Android 11 appeared on Wi-Fi Alliance Certification, launch imminent

Aside from flagship and mid-range models, Samsung is also working to introduce new budget smartphones. Besides, the OEM is also managing to bring 5G handsets at affordable pricing in order to gain market share by following the rising era of 5G.

Recently, a well-known tipster leaked some high-quality renders of Samsung’s affordable 5G smartphone, the Galaxy A22 5G. The renders gave us an idea of its looks and build quality as well as basic specs such as camera, display, etc. As per the report, the A22 5G comes with a 6.5-inch display and rumored to feature a triple-camera setup.

Now, according to the latest information, the Galaxy A22 5G appeared on the Wi-Fi Alliance website, which confirms it is going to launch soon. However, the certification again confirmed that it has model number SM-A226B and runs the latest Android 11-based One UI 3.x out of the box.

Other than this, the WFA certification didn’t reveal any more information about its specs. While the previous leak suggests that the Galaxy A22 likely to powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset coupled with 6GB of RAM.

Talking about camera specs, the upcoming Galaxy A22 5G is expected to feature a triple rear camera system including a 48MP primary camera, an ultrawide lens, and a depth lens. In addition, it could be available in four different color options including Gray, White, Light Green, and Violet.

As of now, we don’t have any official info about the Galaxy A22 5G’s specs or launch date. Meanwhile, we’re expecting that Samsung could soon unveil this smartphone in the coming months. We’ll keep you posted on this matter whenever new information comes.
