Starting this year, Samsung launched its new TWS wireless earbuds Galaxy Buds Pro alongside the Galaxy S21 series flagship. These new earbuds features superior call quality, immersive sound, intelligent ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), and enhanced connectivity across your devices.

The South Korean tech giant rolled out countless firmware updates to the latest wireless earbuds with new features and improvements. Now, the company has initially released a fresh s/w update to the Galaxy Buds Pro users in South Korea, which brings a most anticipated feature.

According to the official information, this new Galaxy Buds Pro update comes with the ‘Double Tap Earbud Edge’ feature that lets users adjust the volume of the earbuds through double-tap gestures on their edge. After upgrading the earbuds, you can find this feature in the Galaxy Wearable app >> Labs section.

Update Details

  • Galaxy Buds Pro: R190XXU0AUD5
  • Galaxy Buds Pro Plugin: 2.0.21042351

The new features included in this update work only when both the Galaxy Wearable and Galaxy Buds Pro’s firmware are updated to the latest.

What’s New

  • New function added in’Laboratory’
  • Double tap the edge of the earbuds
  • Change the touch and hold concept and apply the stabilization code
  • ANC motion/conversation detection related stabilization code applied
  • Application of stabilization code related to terminal operation

Tap the right twice to increase the volume, and tap the left twice to decrease the volume. The shape of the earbuds is slightly different from that of the Buds+, so the guide screen is guided a little differently, but the operation is the same by tapping the part of the earbud itself, not the touch area, according to each situation.

In the long press setting, ANC <-> Ambient was provided so that the function could be toggled, but why don’t you provide the off? It’s a bad thing, and you lifted a lot of whips. For various reasons, the long press function could not provide an action, but additional options were provided so that you can select a different combination.
