Last month, Samsung introduced its three new mid-range smartphones including the Galaxy A52, A52 5G, and A72. These devices come with Android 11-based One UI 3.1 out of the box, which is the latest software system to date. Moving on, the company released many new s/w updates, which included new features and improvements.

Now, the South Korean tech giant started sending the latest OTA update to the Galaxy A52 4G smartphones in several markets including Afghanistan, Australia, Germany, India, Indonesia, Israel, Malaysia, Philippines, Russia, South Africa, Thailand, Ukraine, Vietnam and more.

Identified via release number A525FXXU1AUD2, the new Galaxy A52 update installing the April 2021 security patch, which brings fixes for 21 CVEs from Samsung and 30 critical CVEs from Google. Aside from this, the changelog shows a handful of new features, let’s check them below!

However, Samsung exclusively bringing Snapchat filters in the stock Camera app of the Galaxy A52 and A72. At the same time, this update log shows some of the Camera features from the Galaxy S21 series such as High-Key mono/Low-Key mono, Backdrop effect in the Portrait photo mode.

In addition, it’s bringing improvements for the Camera picture quality to enhance the snapping experience. Although the Galaxy A52 users had not yet reported any kind of issues with the performance of its touchscreen, the update enhances the stability of the touchscreen.

Samsung is now expanding the Stable Android 15-based One UI 7 update to carrier-unlocked Galaxy S23 series in the US.

One UI 7 isn’t just a software update, but it’s an upgrade that has plenty of stuff. Samsung is bringing the latest features to the 2023 flagship lineup after a successful rollout by a handful of network carriers in the country.

Owners of carrier-unlocked Galaxy S23 series can identify the One UI 7 update through the PDA version number ending with DYD9 in the US. The notification may be a bit late, but you can also proceed manually via system Settings.

  • Galaxy S23 – S911U1UEU6DYD9
  • S23 Plus – S916U1UEU6DYD9
  • S23 Ultra – S918U1UEU6DYD9

Samsung’s One UI 7 has a new Now Bar and Live Notifications feature. These tools keep you updated with real-time updates right on the home screen, lock screen, and status bar.

Quick Settings and Notification Panel have also been revamped to refresh your Galaxy’s appearance. Quick panel has also added tools that let you customize the layout and toggles as per your preference.

The stock Phone (Dialer) app has also added the Call Transcribe feature. Now, US residents can utilize call recording, which is also integrated with AI transcription. You don’t have to listen to the recording; transcriptions will be presented.

It’s a big day for Galaxy users as Samsung is rolling out a new firmware update to plenty of devices. A broad One UI 7 expansion is taking place for smartphones, and Samsung is also dropping the April 2025 firmware update to Galaxy Watch4, Watch5, and Watch6.

After the Galaxy Watch7 and Watch Ultra, Samsung is revamping the firmware of the Galaxy Watch4, Watch5, and Watch6 series with an April 2025 update. The updates weigh under 500 megabytes and contain March 2025 security patches.

The latest patches aim to improve system security and reliability. The One UI Watch operating system will ramp up privacy protection. You will also experience an elevated user experience as the update also includes stability enhancements.

The South Korean tech giant has also started working on One UI Watch 7 based on Wear OS 6. Ahead of the official reveal around July this year, Samsung is highly likely to start the Beta Program for the Watch 7 and Watch Ultra users.
