Samsung is pleasantly releasing new security patches and One UI upgrades to its every eligible smartphone and tablet. At the same time, the company has impressively managed to update its dozens of Galaxy devices to the Android 11 version, and the rapid rollout still running in a full flash.

Aside from mobile devices such as phones and tablets, the South Korean tech titan providing new features and improvements to its wearables and hearables. Now, the new information is coming from India as the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch users grabbing new firmware updates in the country.

According to the changelog, the new Galaxy Watch 3 s/w update comes with several system enhancements including improvements for the Messaging App, Wi-Fi stability, system stability, and reliability. Users can identify this release via build version: R840XXU1BUD1.

On the other hand, the first-gen Galaxy Watch owners also grabbing a new firmware, which brings repairs the stability of the system Messaging application and Wi-Fi stability. This new Galaxy Watch OTA carries a release number: R810XXU1FUD1.

However, the changes mentioned in the update log are not enough to reveal the novelties of these updates. Meanwhile, it’s expected that the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch users will now get increased performance as the system functions will be purified after installing the FOTAs.

Apart from this, Samsung also delivered select modern and powerful features from the most-premium Galaxy Watch to its older watches including the Galaxy Watch, Galaxy Watch Active/Active 2, and Galaxy Watch. The previously arrived features include – voice guidance, workout tips, AR/Bitmoji support, scroll screenshot, and more.

A few things to be noted that the Galaxy Watch 3 and Galaxy Watch updates are currently rolling out in the Indian market and we’re not sure whether Samsung will expand it to more regions or not. At the same time, we are expecting that the company could also offer these new improvements in the other territories soon.

December 2024 security patch addresses over 45 vulnerabilities, including both Google and Samsung-specific issues to enhance device security. This update incorporates 6 critical and 28 high-level fixes from Google. Additionally, one previously resolved issue has been readdressed, and another is not relevant to Samsung devices.

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip fold 5 December 2024 update

On the Samsung side, 2 high-level vulnerabilities in its semiconductor products have been patched. The update also includes 8 fixes listed under Samsung Vulnerabilities and Exposures (SVE), focusing on the Theme Center, Galaxy Watch Bluetooth functionality, SmartSwitch, and Dex Mode.

This fresh update is based on Android 14 and One UI 6.1.1 update. Users of these phones are waiting for the One UI 7 Beta update to try new features and improvements ahead of the official release.
