Along with the premium devices, Samsung is also working to introduce affordable smartphones and tablets in the near future. So far, several rumors and leaks circulated on the web regarding the Galaxy Tab A7 Lite, an upcoming low-end tablet from Samsung.

Meanwhile, this new leak is not about a tablet but, it’s a massive Galaxy A22 leak that exposes this smartphone in its full glory through high-resolution renders, thanks to Steve Hemmerstoffer. However, these images appeared from a third-party source but they are the same as the final product.

According to the information, the Galaxy A22 measures 167.2 x 76.4 x 8.7mm along with a 1mm camera bump. On the front, it comes with a 6.5″ LCD display with a traditional notch for the selfie camera and thick chin.

It looks like we are going to witness a big upgrade with the Galaxy A22 smartphone when it comes to the camera. As per the latest renders, this device has a 48MP quad-camera system at the rear side in a squarish design. However, the camera specs still remain a mystery.

As per the previous reports, the Galaxy A22 5G is a cheaper handset and it could be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 700 5G chipset while its 4G version could have a MediaTek Helio chip.

Additional specs could include: storage options such as 3GB RAM / 32GB ROM, 4GB RAM / 64GB ROM, and 6GB RAM / 128GB ROM, which can be expandable with a microSD card.

Talking about price and availability, the Galaxy A22 will probably be somewhere between € 210 and € 275, where the 5G model will of course be slightly more expensive than the 4G model.

Aside from this, a tipster leaked the Samsung mini product roadmap that revealed a number of upcoming Galaxy devices in which the Galaxy A22 listed to be released in July this year.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 and Fold6 Size Comparison

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7 is shaping up to be a notable upgrade over the Z Fold6 as recent mockups and leaks reveal changes in dimensions and screen size, hinting at a refined design.

The Galaxy Z Fold6 measures 153.5 mm tall, 132.6 mm wide, and 5.6 mm thick when unfolded. When folded, it’s 153.5 mm tall, 68.1 mm wide, and 12.1 mm thick. Its cover screen is 6.3 inches, and the inner screen is 7.6 inches.

Unfolded, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 will likely measure 158.4 mm tall, 143.1 mm wide, and an impressive 3.9 mm thin. Folded, it retains the 158.4 mm height, with a width of 73.4 mm and a thickness of 8.9 mm.

The Galaxy Z Fold7’s cover screen is rumored to be 6.5 inches, up from 6.3 inches on the Z Fold6. The inner screen grows to 8.2 inches, compared to the Z Fold6’s 7.6-inch panel, promising more display space.

Source – PandaFlashPro/XCompared to the Z Fold6, the Z Fold7’s unfolded form is taller, wider, and notably thinner. When folded, it’s still taller and slightly wider but shaves off over 3 mm in thickness, improving portability.

The Z Fold7’s thinner profile could make it easier to carry, while larger screens enhance productivity; however, these specs are based on leaks, so final details may vary.

One UI 8

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge launch is set for May 13, 2025, sparking curiosity about whether the One UI 8 Beta will be teased. With the event just hours away, let’s explore the possibility of One UI 8 Beta tease during the S25 Edge reveal.

The Galaxy S25 Edge, a sleek addition to the S25 series, will be unveiled at an online-only event in the US tonight. Samsung’s teaser points to a sleek yet lightweight design, a 200 MP camera, and exceptional performance.

Today’s online event is scheduled for May 13, at 9 AM Korea time, 8 PM on May 12 in New York City, US, and 5:30 AM on May 13 in India. This event will likely focus on the device’s hardware, but software updates could also be highlighted.

Historically, Samsung has used flagship launches to highlight software features, such as new One UI versions or Beta Programs.

One UI 8, based on Android 16, is nearing its Beta phase. Recent reports claim that the Beta Program begins around the end of this month or early next month. The Galaxy S25 series, including the Edge, will likely be eligible for Beta.

Samsung often uses flagship events to discuss software. Past Unpacked events have teased beta programs. After the One UI 7 delays, announcing the One UI 8 Beta could rebuild user trust.

There is no direct confirmation, but the proximity of the launch and beta start suggests a possible announcement. The One UI 8 Beta is rumored to start by the end of May or early June, with the Galaxy S25 series first in line.

Users should watch the live stream for confirmation.

Samsung’s Tri-Fold phone display to head to factory floor next month

Samsung Tri Fold Prototype

Samsung is about to take a big step in foldable phone technology. Starting next month, the company will reportedly begin mass production of a brand new screen that can fold into three parts. This new display will be used in Samsung’s first Tri-Fold phone, which might be called the Galaxy G Fold. The phone is expected to be released later in 2025.

The Korean tech giant has been working on Tri-Fold screens for several years and has shown test models at events. Now, the company is ready to start making them in large numbers.

According to information via Jukanlosreve, Samsung will start mass production of the Tri-Fold display panels next month. It has also been mentioned that Samsung will produce around 200,000 to 300,000 tri-fold displays in the first batch.

The Galaxy G Fold is likely to feature advanced design and will be quite expensive, possibly more than the current Galaxy Z Fold models. It may be priced similarly to Huawei’s tri-fold phone, the Mate XT, which has already sold 400,000 units globally since February 2025. This shows that people are interested in new foldable phone designs, even if they cost a lot.

At first, Samsung might sell the Galaxy G Fold only in a few countries, including Korea and China. If it does well, the company will expand to more markets.

In addition to this, the company is also planning to release the next generations of its other foldable devices, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7, in July 2025.

Some reports claimed that the Samsung Tri-Fold phone will share several components similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7, like the hinge mechanism, speaker drivers, and cutouts. In addition, it might use a Silicon-Carbon battery to store more power in a smaller space. Stay tuned for more information.

Hate Exynos? Samsung Galaxy S25 FE may pack MediaTek’s best chip

Samsung Galaxy S25 Plus

Samsung is reportedly considering a flagship MediaTek chip for the Galaxy S25 FE. Recent rumors point to Exynos 2400e’s utilization in the next Fan Edition, but the company is thinking of Dimensity 9400 as a backup chipset.

You may be pretty happy if wondering about owning the next FE, but the Exynos chip could create trouble. MediaTek’s Dimensity range is broadly used by Chinese OEMs and has proven impressively competitive against the Snapdragon 8 series.

Samsung may use MediaTek Dimensity 9400 in the Galaxy S25 FE if Exynos 2400e supply falters. The Exynos chip is being mass-produced on Samsung’s 4nm node, and literally, the Foundry has mastered its enhanced 4nm process.

Galaxy Tab S10 series also launched with a flagship MediaTek SoC. Therefore, a top-notch Dimensity silicon isn’t impossible in the Galaxy S25 FE. However, it’s just an early anticipation and Samsung may try its best to retain Exynos.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400 chip features better specs than the Exynos 2400e. It has another advantage of being produced at TSMC facilities. Meanwhile, it would raise cost burdens on Samsung due to outsourcing the FE’s chipset.

The Galaxy S25 FE is the works, with a potential launch expected later this year. The smartphone will come with Android 16-based One UI 8 software. The FE launch in Q4 will help Samsung maintain an edge in the market.

Samsung’s slimmest Fold coming! Leaked Galaxy Z Fold7 sizes compared with Fold6, Fold SE

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition December 2024 update

Galaxy Z Fold7 is going to be the slimmest foldable by Samsung. Recent inputs suggest the phone could even beat its arch rivals in terms of sleekness. Recently, a credible tipster shared a body size comparison of the newest Samsung foldables.

In foldables, thickness matters the most! As the phone folds like a book, the folded state thickness surpasses the usual thickness of bar-style handsets. However, 2025 is going to welcome sleek yet innovative foldables.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 could feature 158.4 mm length, 143.1 mm width, and 3.9 mm thickness. It points to a slightly taller, wider, and thinner design than the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition, while the difference from Fold6 is huge.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 would introduce an elevated experience on a large screen. The device would be equipped with an 8-inch foldable screen. The cover screen ratio may also be streamlined to match the current requirements.

Here’s a dimension comparison in the chart, below:

Sr No Model Length (mm) Width (mm) Thickness (mm)
1. Galaxy Z Fold6 153.5 132.6 5.6
2. Galaxy Z Fold SE 157.9 142.6 4.9
3. Galaxy Z Fold7 158.4 143.1 3.9

While we have a pretty good idea of length, width, and thickness, the figures in the folded state remain to be learned. Still, the Galaxy Z Fold7 is presenting a significant upgrade in terms of sleek and lightweight design.

Despite reducing thickness and weight, the next Fold is set to retain a 4400mAh battery. The company may debut new battery and charging technologies. Snapdragon 8 Elite and Android 16-based One UI 8 are in the limelight.

Expect the 2025 Fold, Flip launch in early July.
