Yesterday, Samsung published the April 2021 One UI security bulletin, which detailed all the fixes for different levels of CVEs for improved system security of Galaxy devices. However, the company is continuously rolling out this new security update to various eligible phones and tablets and a number of Galaxies have received this update so far.
Now, the South Korean tech giant started releasing a new software update to the Galaxy A71 smartphones that was launched back in March 2020. This OTA brings system security improvements as well as fixes for some bugs by installing the April 2021 security patch.
Identified via release number A715FZHU4BUC1, Samsung’s April patch is initially rolling out in only select regions (mainly in Hong Kong). We can expect, the company will soon expand its coverage to more regions if it doesn’t affect any system function.
Aside from the security improvements, this update doesn’t come with any new features or system function enhancements. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A71 has previously received the Android 11 and One UI 3.1 update, which was a big deal.
For now, you can wait for the OTA or check for the update manually by heading to your device Settings, then scroll down and find Software updates, in this menu, hit the Download and install button.
