Samsung and MediaTek unveiled the world’s first Wi-Fi 6E enabled 8K TV

Last year, Samsung announced the world’s first 8K TV that supports Wi-Fi 6, and once again cooperated with MediaTek to promote the smart TV industry with the latest connectivity and high-quality 8K imaging to provide a unique home entertainment experience.

According to the latest information, Samsung and MediaTek recently unveiled the world’s first 8K QLED Y21, which is powered by MediaTek’s MT7921AU. This chipset offer delivers the fastest connectivity experiences through its cutting-edge Wi-Fi 6E capabilities.

This smart TV equipped with MediaTek MT7921AU, which supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2 from a single, highly integrated platform. With 1.2 Gbps speeds, consumers can enjoy smoother streaming and gaming for uninterrupted entertainment.

Wi-Fi 6E is a new standard in connected technology, which delivers Neo QLED 8K TV owners not only four times faster connectivity, but also stable and reliable data transfers even when multiple devices are connected to one router for immersive high-definition content.

“With our advanced connectivity technologies – including WiFi-6 support – integrated into Samsung’s 8K TVs, we’re driving the premium smart TV segment forward globally,” said Jerry Yu, MediaTek Corporate Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Intelligent Devices Business Group.
