Samsung Galaxy Note 20 gets April 2021 security update in the US
The Galaxy Note 20 is the latest Note flagship lineup from Samsung that was launched back in August 2020. These devices came pre-installed with Android 10-based One UI 2.5 and currently running on the Android 11-based One UI 3.1 version.
These smartphones have recently received a big firmware update that brings huge new camera features and major improvements. Now, the company started to roll out the April 2021 security update that enhances the system security to keep your device protected against threats.
It is worth mentioning that the Galaxy Note 20 models have received the One UI 3.1 update in mid-February. Moreover, the previous software update has added various new camera functions including ultrawide camera support for Portrait Mode, Night Hyperlapase mode enhancements, and more.
On the other hand, the latest OTA doesn’t bring any new features and system optimizations except for the April 2021 security patch. And the company is expected to publish the security bulletin, which details the revisions of this new firmware update.
Software Versions:
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra 5G – N986U1UES2DUC8
- Samsung Galaxy Note 20 5G – N981U1UES2DUC8
However, the Exynos variants of the Galaxy Note 20 series have not yet received this latest security update in European and Asian markets. We can expect, the company will soon provide April 2021’s security patch to every Note 20 unit globally.
